 喜歡《姊妹THE HELP》DVD盒上面寫的一段話:
 ~人與人之間 其實沒有那麼多隔閡~

也許許多偏見只是因為我們擔心自己失去權力，害怕自己被所謂的少數『凌駕』，於是用盡各種方式，假借許多名義、虛偽的善意以達到削弱權力的目的。故事發生在1962年，那個我還可能是天空的一粒微分子的時候，那個白人雇用黑人照顧家庭，卻無法尊敬黑人的世代，有時候權力薄弱的人並沒有那麼想要爭奪什麼，而是那些狹隘的防備心讓位於弱勢的族群要捍衛自己的尊嚴，其實這樣的故事在現代一定存在，只是換了不同的形式在失衡著。

前一陣子看了另一部也是在探討族群的片子《麥田少年》，發生在澳洲小鎮的故事，農場的父親雇用著當地黑皮膚原著民派迪，兩人的孩子從想在麥田裡長大，隨著兩人年紀增長，原住民人權意識抬頭，考驗著農場主子與派迪的關係，也無形中改變了兩個兒子的友誼。這類型的故事在世界各個角落都上演著，是喜劇或悲劇收場，總有不同的結果或者延燒到下一個世代，簡單來說還是回歸到『權力的爭奪』。

看著《姊妹THE HELP》連結到上週看的香港電影《桃姐》，故事裡面的角色相近，只是被尊重了多少，演變出不同的故事結果。喜歡這電影的片尾曲The Living Proof ，只要努力守住自己的尊嚴，一定可以找到自己的自由。
